Place de la Libération and the Ducal Palace
With its semicircular shape and fountains, Place de la Libération is Dijon’s living room, facing the Palace of the Dukes and Estates of Burgundy. It is the ideal spot for a first drink on a terrace. The bravest can climb the steps of the Philippe le Bon Tower together to enjoy a magnificent view over the city’s glazed-tile roofs.
Make a wish to the owl
In Rue de la Chouette, on a buttress of Notre-Dame Church, a small carved owl awaits passers-by: tradition says you stroke it with your left hand while making a wish. Why not wish for a lovely encounter? The Owl’s Trail, marked by arrows on the ground, then links the main sights of the centre: a ready-made walk for a first date.
Rue des Forges and Place François-Rude
Rue des Forges is lined with superb mansions, while Place François-Rude, with its statue of a wine-grower, is a popular meeting point for locals. The nearby market hall delights food lovers on market-day mornings. On Lyad, members from Dijon share their favourite places; it is up to you to find someone to discover them with.
